How To Use Essential Oils For Acne
Dilute your chosen essential oil in a carrier oil. For 2% concentration used 10-12 drops essential oil per 1 ounce (30 ml) of carrier oil.
Your mixture shouldn’t contain more than 5% essential oil. Tea tree oil and lavender oil can sometimes be used undiluted when applied on the pimple itself (spot treatment). Always try the oil or oil mixture on a small area of your skin and observe the reaction. A good place to test is on the inside of your forearm.
Special care is required with children, pregnant women and old and fragile people. Get informed about the oil’s constituents and potency before using it. Some people experience positive changes very quickly, while others need a few weeks (or more) to fully appreciate the oils’ effects.
Essential Oil Recipe For Acne
1 Tablespoon Carrier Oil (Jojoba Oil, Sweet Almond, Coconut Oil…)
3 Drops Frankincense Essential Oil (Patchouli or Geranium also works)
3 Drops Lavender Essential Oil
3 Drops Tea Tree Essential Oil
Instructions: Mix carrier oil and essential oils into an amber glass bottle. Shake gently. Apply 2 to 3 drops every evening and massage into the skin.
Note: This recipe also works with red marks and scars left after an acne outbreak, and can be tried on stretch marks, too.

Essential oils are mentioned over two hundred times in the New Testament and Old Testament of the Bible.

If you are a beginner to essential oils, there are three primary ways essential oils enter the body: applied to the skin, inhaled, or ingested. When choosing the right method to use essential oils, always keep in mind the desired result you are wanting and then determine the best application for use. Essential oils can enter the body by being applied to the skin. This method can vary from using a compress, gargling, bath or even massage. It requires several drops of essential oils to be used topically in some manner. It is important to note that most essential oils should not be applied directly to the skin without being diluted.
While people inhale and diffuse essential oils for a variety of reasons, it has been shown that inhalation is most effective and best suited to treat a variety of respiratory complaints. Ingestion of essential oils has had much controversy, I suggest you do the proper research yourself and use safe practices. Cases of death, organ failure and hospitalization in the history of aromatherapy have been caused by ingesting essential oils.
